Industrial tire service in McDonough, GA

One call covers the whole fleet

We supply and fit industrial tires across McDonough and Henry County, home to some of Georgia's largest distribution buildings. At that scale, tire replacement stops being a maintenance task and becomes a scheduling problem.

EQUIPMENT WE COVER IN HENRY COUNTY

Forklift tires are the bulk of Henry County work, running whole buildings on scheduled replacement rather than machine by machine. Scissor and boom lift tires go to the maintenance crews in those buildings and get batched onto the same visit. Skid steer tires and telehandler work covers the yard side around Hampton, Luella, and Flippen.

Scheduled replacement beats run-to-failure at fleet scale

Plan the downtime or it plans you

The arithmetic changes with fleet size

On two forklifts, replacing a tire when it fails is perfectly reasonable. On forty, run-to-failure means a machine goes down most weeks, unplanned, interrupting a shift already scheduled around full capacity.

What scheduling actually buys

Replacing on a plan lets us batch the work into a few visits, fit between shifts or overnight, and hold your sizes ready rather than sourcing them urgently. The tires cost the same. The difference is whether you chose when the machine is unavailable.

A fleet assessment is where this starts. We record every machine and its tire condition, then group them into replacement waves you can plan around.

Dock-to-yard transitions are where the damage happens

Not the floor, not the yard

The threshold does the damage

In large distribution buildings the damage happens at the transition rather than on the floor or in the yard: the dock lip, the plate edge, the join between interior slab and outside pavement. A forklift crossing that edge repeatedly at speed takes an impact load the tire was never specified for, and cushion tires chip and debond at the shoulder from exactly this.

What helps

Specify enough section height to absorb the transition, which usually means solid pneumatic rather than a low-profile press-on. Then identify which machines actually cross, because in most buildings a minority of the fleet does the majority of the crossing.

Questions from Henry County fleets

Can you change tires on a whole building of forklifts?

Yes, and at fleet scale it is the arrangement that works. We batch replacements into scheduled visits and fit between shifts or overnight, so machines return to service available rather than being pulled out of a running shift.

Is scheduled replacement worth it over waiting for failure?

On a large fleet, yes. Run-to-failure on forty machines means an unplanned interruption most weeks, each one hitting a shift already scheduled at capacity. The tires cost the same either way. What changes is whether you chose when the machine was unavailable.

Why do our forklift tires chip at the shoulder?

Usually from dock-to-yard transitions rather than floor wear. Crossing a dock lip or plate edge repeatedly at speed delivers an impact load that low-profile cushion tires are not specified for, and the shoulder is where it shows. A tire with more section height absorbs it better.

Can you work overnight or between shifts?

Yes. Overnight and shift-change work is standard for Henry County distribution fleets. Tell us the window when machines are free and we schedule into it.

What is a fleet tire assessment?

We walk your fleet and record what is fitted to every machine, how much life is left, and which units are close to failure. You get a written replacement schedule you can budget against rather than react to. There is no charge for it.
